Who we serve
You serve the load

Load you can plan against.

Nothing on a powered site happens that you have not agreed to serve. We work upstream of the request, so that when one reaches you it comes with a real customer behind it, a profile that holds, and the questions you would have asked already answered.

Where you stand

Twenty years of flat load, then this.

Load growth has returned to an industry that planned around its absence for two decades, and it has returned in hundred-megawatt increments from customers who want energization dates measured in quarters. Meanwhile the interconnection queue fills with requests that will never be built, each one consuming study hours, engineering attention and system capacity that is then unavailable to the requests that are real.

Sorting the real projects from the held positions is hardest at the point it matters most, which is before the study work has been committed.

What arrives with the request

What we bring you.

Four things, established before anyone asks you for a number.

01

A real customer behind the load

We work for the party that intends to take the capacity, and we bring the request only once there is a reason it has to be your system. Speculative requests are what consume a study cycle and then withdraw.

02

A load profile, not a peak number

Ramp schedule, coincident peak, expected load factor, and where the load can flex. A profile you can run through planning is worth more than a megawatt figure in a letter.

03

Siting screened before it reaches you

Screened against published transmission and interconnection data before it reaches you, so the first conversation starts from where your system may actually have room, not from a map of cheap land.

04

Flexibility where it is worth something

Where the grid date is late, on-site generation and storage are scoped into the deal from the start, and flexibility is something the customer has already priced before you raise it.

Why this is worth your time

Growth on what you already built.

  • Rate base and utilisation: large load arriving on existing interconnection raises utilisation of assets already in service, before any new corridor is contemplated.
  • Study hours spent on real projects: a screened request costs you less to evaluate and is far likelier to energise.
  • A customer who understands the tariff: minimum take, exit provisions and contribution in aid of construction are worked through with them early, so the terms you propose are ones they already expect.
  • A defensible answer for your regulator: load that pays its own way, on infrastructure that already exists, is the easiest large customer you can bring to a commission.

SCREENED BEFORE IT ASKS

Start with the interconnection.

We would rather bring you a load than ask you for data. Tell us what a request has to look like to be worth your study hours, and we will screen against it.
